Jaimie and Jay make a wicked big RTX sign for Rooster Teeth! This video features some woodworking, some CNC work on the x-carve, and some awesome creative problem solving to make a huge sign on a short timeline.

If you’re interested in the X-Carve EASEL software, you can try it even if you don’t have an X-Carve.

Learn how we to make a giant RTX sign! We worked with Rooster Teeth and built this giant logo for RTX Austin 2018. We used the X-Carve cnc machine from Inventables, some plywood, and a lot of creativity and hard work to make a huge RTX logo in a little over a week. Even with the help of the xcarve, it was a tight timeline but we got it finished and we love the way it turned out! The folks at Rooster Teeth were super happy and thousands of fans got to take pictures with it at RTX.

We started by splitting the rtx logo into different parts that would fit on the X-Carve and arranging them strategically to use as little material as possible. Then we used EASEL to set up our cuts and then attached the parts into giant letters. Everything got installed onto a plywood base and we even built an interchangeable sign for the bottom so the show can be used at RTX Austin, RTX London, and RTX Sydney!
